We offer medical and fire safety training at your campus, including CPR and First Aid training, Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA Fire Extinguisher training. We are also highly experienced in local fire codes and employee evacuation procedures and planning and will customize safety consulting and training solutions to keep your employees safe and to respond competently when emergencies arise.

Code 3 Safety & Training is a safety & training company that was organized in 2006 by a career, full-time Firefighter & EMT with a focus on delivering training in a convenient and skilled manner, on-site, and at a time convenient for you. We understand that it is more difficult to send your employees out to training centers, so we bring the training to you! Our hours are not limited to the 8-5 workday. We will accommodate you to provide CPR and First Aid training, based on your scheduling needs. We specialize in the highest quality on-site safety training curriculum using experienced EMS & Fire Safety instructors with no additional fees.

Our friendly training staff of working and retired paramedics and EMTs have performed CPR on the street and have responded to all types of emergency incidents in the community. Our instructors at Code 3 Safety & Training know what it is like to respond to a cardiac arrest and other emergencies and will convey that experience to you, increasing the value to your staff and giving you the best chance possible to improve the outcome.

Our CPR and First Aid certification not only provides your K-12 school or college workforce with competency in providing treatment, such as CPR, but enhances knowledge and readiness by providing customized content applicable to your location and procedures. We will help establish or improve your procedures and first aid equipment, such as AEDs’, to provide optimal patient care for your students and staff in any setting.

In addition to unparalleled workplace CPR training, Code 3 Safety & Training will partner with you to create a centralized OSHA training program for your campus throughout the Northwest. By delivering CPR training, First Aid, Fire Extinguisher training and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification in an efficient and competent manner, we will help standardize response to emergencies, improving outcomes. Code 3 Safety & Training leverages our “on-the-street” 911 experience with knowledge to provide your single location or multiple campuses or buildings with the right-sized safety training solution based on your needs. We can also provide workplace safety plans or emergency evacuation consulting and procedures, as desired. OSHA requirements for general workplaces.

Legal requirements vary throughout the country, and across various industries. OSHA states:

“In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available.”

Bloodborne Pathogens Standard
(29 CFR 1910.1030)

This is the most frequently requested and referenced OSHA standard affecting medical and dental offices. Some basic requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard include:

• A written exposure control plan, to be updated annually
• Use of universal precautions
• Consideration, implementation, and use of safer, engineered needles and sharps
• Use of engineering and work practice controls and appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, face and eye protection, gowns)
• Hepatitis B vaccine provided to exposed employees at no cost
• Medical follow-up in the event of an “exposure incident”
• Use of labels or color-coding for items such as sharps disposal boxes and containers for regulated waste, contaminated laundry, and certain specimens.
